How much does back-lit signage cost in Singapore?
It depends on the size, the number of letters, and the face material. You will get a firm quote, usually within a day, before anything is made. Design is included, and installation is its own line so you can see exactly where the money goes.
What is the difference between back-lit and front-lit signage?
Back-lit letters have a solid face and glow from behind, creating a halo on the wall. Front-lit letters glow through the face, so they are brighter from a distance. Back-lit suits feature walls and receptions. Front-lit suits shopfronts that need reach.
Steel or acrylic for the face?
Stainless steel is the premium choice and the one most people pick, because the finish carries the sign in daylight when the light is off. Painted acrylic is the answer when your brand colour has to be exact, since acrylic takes any Pantone. Both glow identically once the LEDs are on.
Does the letter depth really change the look?
More than people expect, and it is the choice most buyers never knew they had. A slim 30mm letter throws a tight, crisp halo. A deep 50mm letter throws a wide, soft one that spreads further across the wall. Standard 40mm sits in the middle and suits most spaces.
Can the halo be in my brand colour?
Yes. The LEDs behind the letters can glow in your colour rather than white, so the halo itself carries the brand. It reads beautifully on a pale wall and needs a mockup to judge properly, which you will get before anything is made.
Why do you ask about my wall?
Because it decides how we hide the wiring. Concrete and brick will not let cables pass through, so the letters sit on a slim backing panel that carries them. A partition wall lets us run the wiring behind, so the letters mount direct and clean. Send a photo if you are unsure.
Will the sign look good with the light off?
Yes, and this is where backlit earns its money. With the LEDs off you still have solid steel or painted letters standing off the wall, which is a proper 3D sign in its own right. The mockup shows you both states.
What wall finish does backlit work best on?
Anything with a smooth, light, or textured surface that can catch the halo. Slat timber, plaster, concrete, and painted walls all work well. Very dark walls absorb the glow, so the halo reads softer, and we will tell you honestly if your wall will fight the effect.
Do I need a licence for a backlit sign?
Indoor reception and feature wall signage needs no licence. Some shopfront signs facing public areas do need approval, and if yours does, we will flag it early and keep it simple.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Pick Not required in the explorer and we will supply the sign ready to mount. Most customers take the install, because halo signs need even spacing off the wall for the glow to look right.
