Aluminium is the light, versatile workhorse. Stainless is the heavyweight.

Where it works

Clinics and wellness
Practitioner names and credentials, understated and professional.

Offices
Suite entrances, director doors, and plates that read established.

Shophouses
Unit numbers and business names, solid and considered at arm's length.

Cafes and restaurants
Staff only, storage, and kitchen doors, on plates that take steam, heat, and daily handling.

METAL OR ACRYLIC PLATE?
Metal reads heavier and more permanent, and it can be etched into the surface itself.
Acrylic floats off the wall and takes full-colour artwork beautifully.

FAQ
How much does a metal plate sign cost in Singapore?
It depends on the size, the metal, the marking method, and how many you need. You will get a firm quote, usually within a day, before anything is made. Doing every door in the practice, or a whole site of safety signs? The per-plate price drops for sets.
Aluminium or stainless steel?
Aluminium is light, crisp, and takes full-colour print beautifully, which makes it the workhorse for most jobs. Stainless is heavier, ages beautifully, and comes in finishes from brushed silver to mirror gold. We will recommend based on where it is going.
What is the difference between laser etching and corrosion etching?
Laser etching marks the surface with a fine, permanent black line, and it handles detail extremely well. Corrosion etching bites into the metal itself, so the marking is recessed and will outlast almost anything, which is why it suits gates and outdoor plates. UV print is the full-colour option for logos and artwork.
What is a laser cut plate?
The letters and shapes are cut right through the metal, so they become openings rather than markings. It looks striking against a contrasting wall, and it never wears off because there is nothing on the surface to wear.
What are 3M reflective plates for?
Signs that need to be seen in headlights or low light. Road, site, car park, and safety signage. The face returns light back to the viewer rather than absorbing it.
What thickness do I need?
2mm is the solid standard and suits almost everything. 1mm is fine for sheltered indoor spots. 3mm is rigid and built for outdoor use where the plate needs to hold its shape on a gate or post.
Can the plate go up without drilling?
Yes. Adhesive mounting works well on glass, smooth doors, and rented spaces. Screws are the site-proof standard, and standoff spacers give the premium floating look. Tell us the surface and we will recommend.
Can you update a name later?
Names change, and there are two good ways to plan for it. Order the plate as part of a set style we keep on file, so a replacement matches exactly. Or design with a separate name strip that swaps without replacing the whole plate. Ask us and we will build it in.
Do I need a licence for a metal plate sign?
Door plates, name plates, and unit signs need no licence. If anything in your job does, we will flag it early.
