How much does a neon sign cost in Singapore?
It depends on the size and how much neon line your design needs. A short word costs less than a long phrase in script, because the price follows the length of the tube, not just the width of the sign. You will get a firm quote, usually within a day, before anything is made.
What backing should I choose?
Clear acrylic is the classic, so the glow appears to float on the wall. Cut to shape follows the outline of your design, which looks sharper but costs a little more. Black acrylic makes the colours pop and disappears completely at night.
Does a neon sign get hot or use a lot of power?
No on both. LED neon runs cool and sips power, plugging into a normal power point through a small adaptor. Leave it on all evening without thinking about it.
Can you make my logo in neon?
Often yes. Neon draws in a continuous line, so some logos translate beautifully and some need a light redraw to work. Send the file and we will show you exactly how yours would look before anything is made.
Any font, any phrase?
Any phrase, and most fonts. Script and rounded fonts are neon's natural habitat. Very fine or very small lettering has practical limits, and if your pick does, we will suggest the closest style that keeps the feel.
Do I need a dimmer?
Most people are glad they got one. Full brightness suits the evening, and a dimmer lets you soften it during the day so the sign never feels like it is shouting. There is also an effects controller if you want flashing or fading.
Can I hang it myself?
Yes. Pick Not required in the explorer and the sign arrives ready to hang like a picture, plugging into a normal socket.
How long does a neon LED sign last?
LED neon is rated for tens of thousands of hours, which in practice means years of evening service. Treat it like any good light fitting and it will outlast the trend cycle it started.
